Warranty Information

Read on for important information on what’s included in your warranty

Stay protected

Your equipment likely has a parts warranty on it, provided by its manufacturer. When Family Plumbing & Heating installs your HVAC equipment, that comes with a labor warranty that stays active when you have it serviced annually.

Of course, warranties can’t cover everything, and there’s no accounting for the unexpected, so it’s important to keep your plumbing, heating, and cooling equipment in good shape. We don’t require a precision tune-up every year with our services, but experience has taught us that it’s a real benefit to our customers, and we highly recommend it.

Keeping your air and plumbing systems tuned up annually will help them last longer and remain efficient over time. This can save you a lot of money in the long run on repairs and energy, and greatly reduce the chance that costly and sometimes dangerous malfunctions will take place. Just as you’d get your oil changed in your car regularly, maintaining your home or building air and plumbing systems are part of maintaining your investment.

Annual tune-ups are not included in purchase prices, but are highly recommended and very often pay for themselves over time thanks to the repair costs you won’t have to end up paying, plus efficiency improvements!

What’s included in your warranty?

Included in your warranty are the following parts, plus with the labor to replace them. The replacement of defective parts is limited to failure under normal use.

  • All factory-installed, non-wearable parts.
  • All field-installed components within the first year of installation.
    • If the equipment was installed by someone else, we will charge full price for repairs but will file the warranty claim with the manufacturer on your behalf, and then provide the refunded amount to you.

What is NOT covered by your warranty?

  • Parts damaged by an unlicensed repair person servicing the unit/system
  • Damage due to operator error (e.g. a thermostat not set correctly)
